The Diaz Show is a weekly alternative talk format internet radio show based in the Phoenix metropolitan area of Arizona. Talk Radio as we see it absolutely does not consist of just people ranting about sports or politics. These topics may rear their ugly head every once in a while on our show, but we do not dwell on them like much stagnant radio stations in our regional area do. Inspired by the short one year format run of 101.5 Free FM in Phoenix, The Diaz Show is a window into the worlds of it’s four very different and dynamic hosts:
Diaz – the show’s fearless leader. Diaz is a diehard fan of anything Apple related, ogles over the newest high definition product and has stated, “I like to waste money on things!” It is from his palatial estate, *cough-hisparentshouse-cough* inside of his Apple Store like bedroom, that The Diaz Show is broadcasted and recorded every week. He has a very stern stance on putting a military base on the moon, enjoys hunting cougars, buying /building giant LEGO Star Wars displays and playing single player video games.
Cake – the man with the contacts. Cake’s spot on interviews with interesting folks he just seems to stumble across sets the stage for interesting and enlightening show content. Don’t let his Office Space day job fool you, he has a strong mechanical background, he is athletically minded and has a insatiable, sometimes fiending thrust for Call of Duty:Modern Warfare online play. A couple of our recent interviews include our friend Tommy from ultmma.com along with Travis Mills and James Alire from Running Wild Films.
Shampoomaster – the guy on the 1′s and 2′s. Shampoo sets up the studio every week and troubleshoots any problem that may occur. This generally results in the notorious, sub-par audio quality that has become internationally renown by the millions….and millions…of listeners. When he’s not busy screwin up the show, he’s normally at home researching ways to make the show better, going to school to gain a higher education, practicing his hatchet throwing skills, screwing around with electrical circuits, learning how to skate on his gigantic silver longboard or thumbing his fingers until the next Diaz Show occurs.
Uncle Thirsty – the bartender/dust particles. U.T. is a man of mystery. The majority of his time is spent being engulfed day and night by his super secret international engineering job. When he’s not around to attend a Diaz Show, his seat and microphone become inhabited by an almost divine cloud of dust particles. When his job slows down enough for him to make an appearance, he makes it a point to speak his mind(during the breaks & off mic), graces the live video feed with his “Jerry Garcia” facial hair and occasionally brings a couple of extremely powerful bottles of booze with a case of soda to make us with his signature drink: The Uncle Thirsty.
